Source: Police may release Rybolovlev on Wednesday or Thursday
MOSCOW/ATHENS, Nov 7 (PRIME) -- The police of Monaco may release Russian tycoon Dmitry Rybolovlev on Wednesday or Thursday, a legislative source told PRIME.
“Rybolovlev was detained for 24 hours on Tuesday afternoon. The investigator can decide to prolong the detention period for several additional hours. The period may be extended for six hours. Anyway, the issue of his detention will be solved today,” the source said.
“The question is whether there is a criminal case against Rybolovlev or not.”
Bank of Cyprus, in which Rybolovlev holds a 10% stake, declined to comment.
Le Monde reported earlier that the businessman was detained for questioning as part of investigation into corruption and influence peddling.
